Chart notes
BELLIGERENT vied for lead three wide on the backstretch, entered turn three wide, started to clear late in the turn and into the stretch, drew clear in upper stretch, drifted in approaching the sixteenth pole and drove away in deep stretch. SIX EIGHTEEN vied inside of two rivals rivals for the lead on the backstretch, maintained rail position into the turn and into the stretch, kept to task in the stretch and held second. THE PET vied between for the lead on the backstretch, entered turn in between, could not match strides with top two entering the stretch, but kept on well enough to secure third. C C THE BARTENDER chased contested pace two wide on the backstretch, entered turn two wide, kept on in the stretch to maintain position but not enough to gain a placing. JUPITER S. chased contested pace along the inside on the backstretch, continued along the inside on the turn and into the stretch, kept on gamely in the stretch and edged for denied fourth late. GEE STREET dropped back to the rear of the field on the backstretch, failed to launch a bid thereafter while staying along the inside.
