Chart notes
CIRCUS was hustled to the lead, raced inside on the first turn, opened up a huge advantage on the backstretch, was coaxed along while inside on the far turn, came under stronger encouragement nearing the quarter-pole, was put to the whip in upper stretch, responded well in the final furlong and held under strong urging. OXWOOD broke in and a bit slow then was taken up off heels, spotted the front around several lengths, went around the first turn in the two path, settled well off the pace, advanced in the two path under urging on the far turn, gained on the winner into upper stretch, drifted out significantly under a left-handed whip in the final furlong and finished willingly for the place. CHARITY FOR ALL traveled around the first turn in the two path, settled in third position, was urged three to four wide on the far turn and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. OLYMPIC CHAMPION broke in and bumped soundly with a rival, went four then five wide on the first turn, settled well back on the outside, moved in leaving the backstretch, was ridden along while three then two wide on the far turn and was no factor. MR. BRUTUS went five wide early on the first turn, dropped to four then three wide late on that bend, moved further in early on the backstretch, lagged at the rear, went four wide on the far turn, drifted inward in upper stretch and showed little. LOUISVILLE LEGEND was bumped soundly at the start, went three to four wide on the first turn, settled on the outside under some urging, went four wide on the far turn while ridden along and retreated. POPPE HOUR went three wide on the first turn, settled in second position, dropped back fast leaving the backstretch and faltered then was eased in the stretch but walked off.
