Chart notes
SI ES GOYA raced in the four path the first turn and left the turn toward the outside, started a bid nearing the three eighths pole, came through the far turn still about the four path and dug in to take over later yards. ZALZA stalked the early pace about the three path, bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole and closed to the lead two deep midway on the far turn, dug in to put CAUSE FOR SURPRISE away but yielded to the winner later yards, while the latter of whom, stalked the pace two deep and moved to even terms nearing the seven sixteenths pole, took the nod at the pole and dug in to put Stormy Leo away through the backstretch, but was met at the rail midway on the turn, remained close through the upper stretch then weakened later yards. SET'EM UP JOE saved ground off the pace the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole and raced at the rail most of the far turn, angled five wide nearing the head of the lane, finished well and was gaining on third. STORMY LEO rated a slim lead inside, was met nearing the seven sixteenths pole and gave up the advantage at the pole, gave chase from that point but dropped back steadying approaching the quarter pole, raced off the rail through the far turn and weakened inside the eighth pole. FRENCH'S QUEST settled off the pace and off the rail the first turn, started a bid toward the seven sixteenths pole, raced in the five and six paths the far turn and ran evenly through the lane. C C'S WARRIOR raced off the pace in the three and four paths the first turn, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn in the five path and showed little more. FRANKIE DOTS settled off the pace inside, bid only mildly then weakened. THREE TO THIRTEEN and GLEN'S CASTLE were not factors.
