MAXXIMUM ENERGY between chase to backstretch, three wide run to lead, held sway. STEWARDS RULES never far back to far turn, split horses into stretch gained late. RANCHO BARGO popped to the lead, stayed well to hold the show spot. OUT COLD inside chase to the stretch, could go on in the drive, weakened. GOLD HAWK raced evenly with no late kick in the stretch run, leveled off. SPEED GRACER no speed to far turn, floated far outside,to improve late. PETE MARWICK raced evenly, lacking the late kick from the far turn. AULD CUP far back early on, improved position through the stretch run. SLICK AS A PIN off rail chase, dueled to three quarters, used up, faded readily. CARISSIMO inside psoition into first turn, nothing left when needed.
