OIL broke well and sent for the lead in a contested pace, led three wide on the backstretch, able to clear NOVA entering the turn and took the turn two wide, extended lead entering the stretch, responded gamely to urging while proving best. NOVA bumped both sides at the start, pressed pace three wide on the backstretch, entered turn in between rivals, entered stretch in the two path, responded to urging in upper stretch, started to weaken late and just held on for second. HILL CROOME chased leaders four wide on the backstretch, entered turn three wide, asked for run on the turn, kept on grinding entering the stretch in the four path, made late headway on NOVA and just missed second. PS BETTIN ON YOU bumped with NOVA at the start, pressed pace in between rivals on the backstretch, entered turn along the rail, kept rail position throughout and weakened past the sixteenth. HYDROSTATIC chased contested pace along the inside on the backstretch, continued along the rail through the turn and into the stretch, lacked needed rally in the stretch. IRISH JACK bumped with NOVA at the start, tracked contested pace along the inside, continued along the rail on the turn, angled out into the two path entering the stretch, lacked a menacing bid in the stretch. P TOWN TITAN stalked pace two wide on the backstretch, entered turn two wide, and continued into the three path entering the stretch, lacked needed response in the stretch.
