Chart notes
SEVENTH WAVE led three wide on the backstretch, cleared inside rivals entering the turn, shook free approaching the stretch and drew off in a romp. DESERT MOVIE tracked pace along the inside, continued along the inside into the turn, and split foes in upper stretch, kept on well to earn a share of second. JOURNEY CAKE vied for lead four deep on the backstretch, entered turn three wide, entered stretch in the three path, and kept on for a share of second. UP TIME broke well and chased pacesetters early on the backstretch, got caught in tight and squeezed back approaching the five sixteenths which caused a stumble and steadying, recovered and entered turn two wide, bid three wide mid turn and into the stretch in the four path, flattened out in deep stretch. EVER FOR EVER EVER pressed between rivals for the lead on the backstretch, entered turn two wide, continued in range entering the stretch, unable to match strides with drawing off winner, started to fade past the sixteenth. DON SEVERO pressed pace along the inside on the backstretch, continued journey along the inside and steadily faded on the turn and into the stretch. JOCKEYS OBJECTION, CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF UP TIME ON SEVENTH WAVE AND JOURNEY CAKE FOR INTERFERNECE APPROACHING THE FIVE SIXTEENTHS, AFTER A STEWARDS REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THAT UP TIME WAS PUT INTO A TIGHT SPOT, BUT FEEL THE TROUBLE DID NOT CHANGE THE EVENTUAL ORDER OF FINISH, THUS THE CLAIM OF FOUL WAS DISALLOWED.
