Chart notes
SWIRRLIE SHIRLIE , in hand along the rail waiting for room around the turn, swung to the three path in upper stretch, took the lead outside horses near the sixteenth pole then drew off. SUSIKIN , soundly bumped by STARTING TOUR leaving the starting gate, advanced three deep leaving the turn, gained the lead in upper stretch, finished willingly but was no match for the winner. JOYFUL NOISE saved ground on the turn and failed to rally. R TRUE SENSATION showed speed along the inner rail and weakened the final furlong. BLUE SKY VENEZUELA , four deep on the turn, floated to the six path in upper stretch and failed to be a factor. GREASEDLIGHTNING , between horses on the turn, floated to the five path in upper stretch and weakened. STARTING TOUR bore in bumping SUSIKIN at the break, showed speed in the two path and gave way in upper stretch.
