Chart notes
BARNACLE BILL set the pace three wide through the first turn, gave up the advantage, chased a slow pace into the stretch, dug in under constant right handed urging making the lead late and edged clear. ACCOUSTICAL surged to the front in the five path after a quarter, set the balance of the pace while getting slow fractions then couldn't handle the winner. GEH SCHNELL unhurried early, found his best stride late in the six path. BARRY'S SWING had a mild rally late. UNTILWEMEETAGAIN pressed the early pace four wide, chased the leaders into the stretch then weakened. CHRISTIANS CITY was through after a half. YOUNG AMERICAN had speed for a half then stopped.
