BOBBIES REASON was restless in the gate, bumped with a rival at the start then was hustled, raced inside early on the first turn then moved to the two path, followed the solo leader from second, gained on that foe coming to the half-mile pole, took the lead outside the seven-sixteenths then moved clear while on the inside, lost the advantage to the winner into the stretch and proved no match while well clear for the place. LAURALEE COCODREE bumped with a foe at the start, went four wide on the first turn, settled in the middle of the field, was urged along while three then four wide on the far turn then driven five wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. BETTY JOY'S STAR bumped with a rival at the start, raced inside early on the first turn, shifted two then three wide shortly thereafter, settled near the back, saved ground under urging on the far turn, shifted three wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. CAJUN MUSIC went four wide on the first turn, settled well back in the field, was urged three then two wide on the far turn and was no factor. FLASH ANNIE went around the first turn in the two path, moved out inside the three-quarter pole then dropped well behind, went four wide on the far turn and faltered. IONA GUITAR broke in and bumped with a foe, went to the front, raced in the three path on the first turn, came out more onto the backstretch, set the clear pace, lost the lead outside the seven-sixteenths, came up empty in the four then three path on the far turn and stopped.
