Chart notes
TOKEN established position just off the pace after the start then tugged at the bit while rated behind the leader, came through along the rail to take the lead outside the three-eighths when the pacesetter lugged out, responded well when shaken up in upper stretch then kicked clear and maintained a safe advantage under a strong hand ride and one tap of a down-turned whip to prevail. LOVE ENOUGH pressed the pace on the outside, was carried out leaving the backstretch, vied in the four path on the turn, came under a drive while outside of the winner into upper stretch, lost touch with that foe outside the furlong marker and was outfinished while clear for the place. SAN DESTIN broke a step slow, tracked the pace on the outside, was caught five wide early on the turn then dropped to the four path, moved to the rail outside the five-sixteenths, turned into the stretch under the whip and lacked the needed response while able to get the show. PORTOFINA settled on the outside, was urged three wide on the turn, came four wide into upper stretch under a drive and failed to rally. CHAMBERS CREEK broke in front, was taken in hand while setting the pace early, lugged out three wide into the turn, continued three wide behind the new leader on the bend and tired.
