PHRASEOLOGISM bumped with a foe into the first turn, went three then two wide on the first turn, was reserved off the pace, advanced two then three wide on the far turn, gained five wide into the stretch, took the lead at the three-sixteenths, battled with the runner-up into the final sixteenth and prevailed under strong urging. REDOUX was hustled from the start, went three wide on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside, came under urging midway down the backstretch, chased three wide on the far turn, gained to make a bid in upper stretch, battled with the winner into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while well clear for the place. RUN FAR was hustled from the outside post, angled in while going to the front, dropped from the four path to the two path very early on the first turn, set the clear pace, was asked while inside on the far turn, lost the lead in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and tired while clear for the show. HICCUP bumped with a foe into the first turn, went five then four wide on that bend, settled in the middle of the field, was urged three then four wide on the far turn and lacked the needed response. MR. BRUTUS went five wide on the first turn, settled well back in the field, raced three to four wide on the far turn, drifted in near the furlong marker and was no factor. ANICLUDE went three then two wide on the first turn, lingered near the back, came out and bumped with a foe leaving the backstretch, dropped from the three path to the rail on the far turn and failed to threaten. NEW HAMPSHIRE saved ground on the first turn, was rank under restraint early on the backstretch then rated in third position, chased inside on the far turn, passed the five-sixteenths under the whip and retreated.
