Chart notes
DEEP RED , rated down the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, brushed with DECOUPAGE when angling out in upper stretch, moved up in the four path between horses near the eighth pole, continued closing and got up late. DECOUPAGE , along the inner rail on the turn, eased out entering the stretch, brushed with the winner in upper stretch, loomed five deep near the eighth pole and just missed with a nice rally. BUNTING accelerated to a clear lead leaving the backstretch, set the pace along the inner rail and weakened late. TRUNK OF MONEY , saved ground chasing the pace around the turn, angled to the two path in upper stretch, llacked the necessary late effort and drifted out in the drive. DANCE AND DANCE chased the pace, raced in the three path through the stretch, flattened out and was steadied in close quarters outside TRUNK OF MONEY and inside the winner in deep stretch. MARYANORGINGER , three wide on the turn, gave way, Objections by the rider of DANCE AND DANCE against DEEP RED and TRUNK OF MONEY for alleged interference in the stretch drive were not allowed.
