HE'S IN CHARGE came away in good order, was well placed just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, cut the corner into the stretch, rallied under a right-handed whip, made a bid into the final furlong then took the lead and drew clear under steady urging. TULANE TRYST was off slow, raced on the outside under urging, moved inside of a foe at the half-mile pole, came out into the turn, gained four wide on that bend, made a bid at the quarter-pole, battled outside of two foes under a drive into the final furlong and proved no match for the winner while just able to get the place. WILD FOR WYCLIFF was away alertly then hustled, showed the way down the backstretch, vied inside to the two path on the turn, was asked at the quarter-pole then came under a drive, battled into the final furlong and proved no match for the winner then lost the place but was well clear for the show. COLONEL BOWMAN was away alertly, showed speed between horses, pressed then chased the pace, went three wide on the turn, moved out inside the three-sixteenths and tired. SIR GIANNIS broke a step slow, was ridden along on the outside, went three then four wide on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. HAPPY ROMANCE was off slow, saved ground towards the rear of the field and was no factor. SCREENPLAY was off slow, moved out near the five-eighths, went four then five wide on the turn, came six wide into the stretch and failed to respond. REMEMBER HYMN broke out and bumped lightly with a foe, was urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the two then three path, moved out in upper stretch, shifted further out around the sixteenth-pole and never reached contention. REGAL RUN broke a step slow while bumping lightly with an opponent, chased the pace on the outside, was forced out five wide into the turn, dropped to four then three wide later on that bend and faltered.
