Chart notes
POPULIST leaned out at the start, tracked the pace on the outside, chased three to four wide on the turn, took the lead under a drive in upper stretch, inched clear into the final furlong, dug in gamely under threat late and just held under strong urging. RAILMAN settled off the pace, came under some urging while three wide on the turn, was driven four wide into the stretch, pursued the winner on the outside into the final sixteenth, gained fast on that foe late and just missed while well clear for the place. IADANZA broke out and bumped with a foe, set the pace under pressure to the outside, vied inside to the two path on the turn, lost the advantage under a drive in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but held the show. TWILIGHT FANTASY bumped hard with a rival at the start while also bumping with another foe, was rated amongst foes then roused in the two path at the three-eighths and lacked the needed response. GOOD CLEAN FUN was coaxed along on the outside, went four then five wide on the turn and came up empty. FIRST CONTACT bumped hard with a foe at the start, pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the two to three path on the turn and tired. JAZZ IT UP was hustled from the start then well placed down the backstretch, dropped back while inside at the three-eighths, spun into the stretch in the two path and failed to respond.
