Chart notes
WENTRU broke in and hit the gate but recovered quickly to take the lead then moved clear, dropped from the two path to the rail on the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch through glacial fractions, was asked inside the five-sixteenths, lost the lead under a drive in upper stretch, dueled with that foe into the final furlong, brushed with that foe shortly thereafter then took back the lead and gamely prevailed under strong urging. FIELDSTONE raced inside early on the first turn then moved to the two path, was reserved towards the rear, went around the far turn in the two path, moved out under a drive in upper stretch, shifted further out while gaining into the final furlong and closed determinedly to just get the place. BRYCE CANYON was hustled from the start, went three wide on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the two path on the far turn, was asked near the quarter-pole then took a short lead in upper stretch, dueled outside of the winner, brushed with that foe inside the furlong marker then lost the advantage, fought on to the wire but missed and was denied the place on the wire but clear for the show. ULTIMATE IRONY was taken in hand early, rounded the first turn in the two path, was reserved in the middle of the field, went three then four wide while let out on the far turn, gained to make a five wide bid into the stretch then came out a path, dropped back into the final furlong and was out-kicked. O DOGG broke in and bumped with a foe, saved ground on the first turn, was rated in third position, moved closer while two then three wide on the far turn, made a four wide bid at the quarter-pole, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened. NO EXAGGERATION bumped with a rival at the start, went three then four wide on the first turn, settled outside on the backstretch, was roused three wide on the far turn and failed to respond. LANGUAGE BARRIER stumbled awkwardly at the start then was bumped and taken up, spotted the front a few lengths, went four to five wide on the first turn, dropped back near the five-eighths, rounded the far turn in the two path, came three wide into the stretch, ducked out under a left-handed whip at the three-sixteenths and showed little.
