Chart notes
CARRIES MAN raced within striking distance, moved up on the outside around the final turn, collared, DEWEY'S LITTLE JOE midstretch and proved the best late. DEWEY'S LITTLE JOE pressed the pace, forwardly placed throughout, took the lead around the final turn, but couldn't hold off the winner deep in the stretch. LIGHTNING HARBOUR raced in the middle of the field, made a late gain and got up for third. WILDFIRE STORM raced in the back in the beginning, saved ground around the second turn, made a bid and hung. NOT FADE AWAY lacked early speed, had a wide trip and passed tired ones. OBSTRUCTED VIEW put forth an even effort, came around the final turn four wide and was never a factor. LOUISIANA JAZZ sprinted to the front, drove clear and was finished early. FIREMAN SID void of early speed and showed little.
