Chart notes
GALILEAN MOON , angled to the two path entering the first turn, stalked the pace under patient rating, eased outside leaving the far turn, took the lead outside RATIFY inside the eighth pole and drew out under encouragement. RATIFY , three wide the first turn, was up close down the backstretch, gained a two wide lead turning for home and weakened the final furlong. SUPER HOUDINI lacked speed, raced three wide the first turn, circled horses three deep on the far turn and failed to rally. AMERICAN PIPER sprinted clear on the backstretch, set the pace along the inner rail to the stretch and gave way. FIXATION raced along the inner rail most of the trip and steadily retreated through the stretch. MONSTER MASON , no factor, dropped back.
