LODE THE GOLD tracked the early pace, raced seven wide through the turn, took control at the eighth pole and edged clear for the win. MIKE MAN'S GOLD was unhurried early, raced six wide into the turn, angled out eight wide in early stretch, passed foes late, was no match and finished second best. FOXRUN pressed the early pace, went five wide into the turn, drifted in and held for third. SON OF ELEANOR was up close early, raced six wide through the turn and weakened. JOHN PAUL'S BET set a pressured early pace, went four wide into the turn and faded. WALK ON WATER forced the early pace, went three wide into the turn and gave way.
