Chart notes
SAINTHOOD went to the front, dropped from the three path to the two path on the first turn, set the pace under some urging, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, vied in the path under a strong hand ride on the far turn, turned into the stretch under the whip, drifted out coming to the furlong marker then lost the advantage to the runner-up shortly thereafter, battled back gamely on the outside of that foe into the final sixteenth and won the head-bob on the wire to narrowly prevail. DOLDER GRAND saved ground on the first turn, was rated just off the pace, came under urging while inside to the two path on the far turn, was asked for his best in upper stretch, gained to take the lead under a strong drive just inside the furlong marker, led into the final sixteenth but was out-nodded on the wire and denied but clear for the place. MASQUEPARADE went four then three wide on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, was asked three wide on the far turn then driven five wide into the stretch, chased the top two under a drive into the final furlong and was outfinished but clear for the show. TIWANAKU rounded the first turn in the two path, settled off the pace, was roused while two then three wide on the far turn, swung five wide into the stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick. COOL RAGS was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, saved ground at the rear on the turns, turned into the stretch in the two path and lacked the needed response. CROSS CHECK broke a step slow, went three wide on the first turn, settled near the back, was urged three wide early on the far turn, moved to five wide at the five-sixteenths and failed to threaten. CODY'S LEGACY was rank off heels under tight restraint while three to two wide on the first turn, moved out early on the backstretch, was let out near the half-mile pole then dropped back, came up empty while three to four wide on the far turn and retreated. OLYMPIC CHAMPION fought the rider while rank under restraint on the initial straightaway, raced inside early on the first turn then moved three wide, shifted four wide late on that bend then came further out, moved up early on the backstretch then quickly dropped back again, fell well behind the rest of the field and faltered.
