Chart notes
TALKING BOOK was unhurried while saving ground early, edged closer three wide around the far turn, came five wide into the lane, closed determinedly and was up in the final strides. COASTANA settled two wide in midpack, went three wide around the far turn, rallied between rivals, took the lead in deep stretch but could not quite hold off the winner. KATAMA MOONLIGHT set a clear pace in the two path, drew off in upper stretch, led to deep stretch but could not withstand the top two in the later yards. RED LIGHT RACER saved ground off the pace, swung widest in upper stretch and rallied belatedly. OCEAN AIR tracked the pace inside and lacked the needed rally. HONOR HOP saved ground and never threatened. SPUNGIE stalked the pace two wide and came up empty in the lane. SAINT LUCIE (GB) trailed in the two path and was eased in the lane.
