Chart notes
SAVE broke out at the start, angled in while showing good speed, disputed the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, shook clear inside the five-sixteenths, responded well when set down in upper stretch, drifted out under a right-handed whip into the final sixteenth and proved best while flagged with a right-handed whip to the wire. MAKEAJOYFULNOISE stumbled at the start and was last away, moved out midway down the backstretch, went five wide on the turn, came six wide into the stretch and finished with good courage for the place. TAYLOR'S TOURIST came out at the start, tracked the leading duo on the outside, was asked while four wide on the turn, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch and was out-kicked while well clear for the show. MAYSTART settled off the pace, was roused in the two path on the turn and failed to rally. PUYE TIMING angled quickly to the inside, contested the pace on the inside of a foe, vied along the rail on the turn, dropped back outside the quarter-pole and tired.
