WESTERN STAR jostled with foes on both sides early, settled off the pace, was urged two then three wide on the turn, gained four wide into the stretch, rallied to the lead at the three-sixteenths then shook clear outside the furlong marker, drifted out late and held under steady urging. FLASHBURN jostled with a rival early then checked while pinched back between horses, raced inside into the turn then moved to the two path, shifted three wide around the three-eighths, moved to four then five wide later on that bend, rallied seven wide into the stretch, closed well to loom boldly outside the winner in the final furlong but hung and settled for the place. NO QUARTER checked behind another checking foe early then moved out, went around the turn in the two path, angled out under a drive outside the furlong marker and improved position to get the show. MINISTER'S MEDAL was fractious behind the gate then had the bridle replaced, came away fast from the outside post, angled in quickly while speeding clear, raced inside on the turn, was put to the whip after turning into the stretch, lost the advantage passing the three-sixteenths, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. OUR LAST SHOT was off slow and spotted the front several lengths, went three wide on the turn, moved out inside the three-sixteenths and improved position without threatening. CAJUN NAVY bumped soundly with a foe early, was urged along towards the front, went three then four wide on the turn and came up empty. C F JOHNATHAN was hard ridden on the outside, went five then six wide on the turn, came seven wide into the stretch and was no factor. SOUTHERN LIGHT was carried in early then coaxed along on the outside, dropped back five then six wide on the turn and failed to respond. PRIMEINTERESTRATE broke a bit slow, settled off the pace, was taken in hand behind horses around the half-mile pole, remained in hand while four then five wide early on the turn, shifted seven wide while roused near the five-sixteenths, came eight wide into the stretch and also failed to respond. IMPRESSIVE GREELY jostled with a foe early, chased the pace from second, went around the turn in the two path, spun three wide into the stretch and retreated. HEZA FORTUNE was carried in early then bumped with a rival, settled under some restraint, came up empty while four wide on the turn and retreated. R W 'S RETIREMENT was off slow and spotted the front several lengths, went six then seven wide early on the turn, was carried nine wide around the five-sixteenths then dropped back to six wide nearing the quarter-pole and faltered.
