RUN TAPPY dropped well behind early, saved ground on the first turn, lagged at the rear, moved out outside the half-mile pole, went three wide early on the far turn, shifted five wide while gaining around the five-sixteenths, unleashed a powerful outside rally into upper stretch, took the lead at the three-sixteenths then drifted in while kicking clear and drew off under steady handling to prove much the best. LADDIE BOY was hustled from the start, raced inside for most of the first turn then shifted three wide, tracked outside early on the backstretch, moved up to make a bid at the nine-sixteenths, took a short lead while three wide on the far turn, lost the advantage under a drive in upper stretch and proved no match for the winner while just able to get the place. THETRASHMANSCOMING went three wide on the first turn, made a middle move as the field bunched midway down the backstretch, drafted inside on the far turn, checked while stacked up behind horses outside the quarter-pole, moved out in upper stretch and came up empty. GO FOR MOONSHINE went three wide on the first turn, was reserved under tight restraint, dragged his way closer midway down the backstretch, drafted in the two to three path while behind horses on the far turn, checked off heels outside the quarter-pole then shifted four wide into the stretch, moved out outside the three-sixteenths and had nothing left. OVER FUNDED bumped with a rival at the start, went around the first turn in the two path, settled towards the rear, was urged along while moving from the inside to the two path on the far turn, swung six wide into the stretch then drifted out around the three-sixteenths and failed to threaten. LEAD STAR was hustled from the start, went three wide on the first turn, set the pace while in hand, was challenged midway down the backstretch, lost the lead under urging while inside on the far turn and tired. WRATH went four then five wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, moved closer midway down the backstretch, was asked while four to five wide on the far turn, chased into upper stretch and capitulated.
