Chart notes
STEADYTILLREADY was hustled from the start, settled just off the pace on the outside, went four wide for most of the turn, was asked outside the five-sixteenths, dropped to the three path outside the quarter-pole, chased the runner-up under a drive into the final furlong, gained to make a bid outside the sixteenth-pole and got up in the final forty yards under strong handling. IRISH HOKIE broke out and bumped hard with a rival, was hustled to the lead, set the pace while off the inside, controlled the action in the two path on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch, drifted out under a left-handed whip while under heavy threat from the winner into the final sixteenth and was caught while clear for the place. STAR OF KODIAK bumped soundly with a rival at the start and was last away, settled on the outside, went five wide on the turn, was asked at the quarter-pole then gained to make an outside bid in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. SEVEN SCENTS tracked the pace while directly inside of the winner, dropped back in the three path on the turn, was roused in the four path into the stretch and came up empty. TIGER BLOOD was bumped hard at the start then forced soundly into another foe, moved in early then was well placed just off the pace, saved ground while asked on the turn, dropped back into the stretch and had nothing left.
