MILITARY BEARING bumped with a rival at the start, was well placed while saving ground, came under some coaxing on the far turn, was roused while shifting to the two path into the stretch, made a bid between horses at the three-sixteenths then took the advantage, shook clear into the final furlong and proved much the best under steady urging. OLYMPIC CHAMPION bumped with a foe at the start, saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace, was asked leaving the backstretch, went three wide on the far turn under urging, came six wide into upper stretch and finished with good courage to get the place. MAGNA RIDE saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace, was urged along while moving from the inside to the two path on the far turn, swung four wide into upper stretch then brushed with a rival and finished willingly to get the show. FIAT LUX broke in then bumped with foes on both sides, recovered quickly then moved clear, set the pace in the two path, was asked coming to the quarter-pole, lost the lead under a drive in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened. SMILING SILAS broke in and bumped with a foe, went three wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, was roused four wide on the far turn, gained to make a bid in upper stretch, battled into the final furlong and tired. SMOKY TOPAZ bumped with rivals on both sides at the start, went three wide on the first turn, settled towards the rear, moved from three to five wide on the far turn, was carried eight wide into upper stretch and failed to threaten. SUMMER TUNE broke out at the start, went four wide on the first turn, settled near the back on the outside, was urged two then three wide on the far turn, swung five wide into upper stretch then brushed with a rival and failed to respond. SKIP THE SMALLTALK bumped with a rival at the start, lugged out into the first turn, went four wide on that bend, was rated on the outside, moved closer late on the backstretch, went three wide on the far turn, was asked coming to the quarter-pole, drifted in while dropping back at the three-sixteenths and capitulated. PATRIOT'S WAR was hustled from the start, went four wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged five wide on the far turn then carried seven wide into upper stretch and had nothing left.
