Chart notes
NEWS BOX stalked the early pace, moved up five wide into the upper stretch and finished well to get up under strong handling. MAJOR SHIPMAN stalked the pace, raced three deep through the lane and finished second best. GO FOR JIM showed good early speed to set all the pace along the inside and weakened a bit through the drive. JIMMY'S MARCO pressed the pace while racing between rivals and weakened. SHANGHAI SKIPPER raced four wide into the upper stretch and never was a factor. STAR OF STARS trailed throughout.
