KURAMATA (IRE) broke slowly, recovered quickly to gain a position between rivals tracking just off the first flight racing to the first turn, was rated between foes through the backstretch, then shifted out splitting rivals three deep nearing upper stretch to advance on the pacesetter, lugged inwards while moving to gain the advantage midstretch, came under left handed correction and edged forward to a safe advantage while being taken in hand in the final strides. NEWSWORTHY, urged between foes leaving the chute to prompt the pacesetter into the backstretch, dueled for command nearing upper stretch to gain a brief advantage between calls, resisted the winner past midstretch but proved only second best. IMPLICATION was rated off the second flight along the inside racing to the first turn, shifted out on the backstretch, awaited an opening between foes racing into the far turn, split rivals three deep in upper stretch and continued with an effort to close the gap while prevailing for a share. JARREAU settled last racing to the backstretch, switched outside foes to advance four wide racing into the far turn, continued in that path between foes entering the stretch and made a mild gain. ASTROTURF worked his way to the inside dropping off the second flight racing to the backstretch, switched outside rivals on the far turn, then angled five wide in the closing stages while making an effort to improve position. OL GREY GHOST, forwardly placed three deep racing just off the first flight racing to the backstretch, was fanned four wide into the lane and gave way. HE'S ROYALTY sped to the lead while angling inside leaving the chute, dictated the pace on a narrow margin to the backstretch, dueled for command inside foes into the far turn and gave way into upper stretch. CARMICHAEL, urged between foes leaving the chute, was taken in hand while angling to the inside on the first turn to track off the first flight but steadily retreated after a half.
