HARVEY WALLBANGER went to the front, rounded the first turn in the two path, was well rated while setting a tepid pace on the inside, responded well when asked after turning into the stretch then came under a right-handed crop, held a clear lead under the crop into the final sixteenth and was fully extended to last. MOLIERE saved ground on the first turn, was well placed just off the pace, went around the far turn in the two path, was given his cue at the five-sixteenths, came under the crop in upper stretch, moved out under a drive inside the furlong marker, gained determinedly into the final sixteenth, drifted out late and just missed while clear for the place. KITTANSETT went four wide on the first turn, was forwardly placed on the outside, came under urging leaving the backstretch, chased four wide on the far turn, pursued the winner under a drive into the final sixteenth, was carried out late and out-kicked while able to get the show. MAJESTIC WEST bumped with a rival at the start, went three wide on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, raced three wide on the far turn, was asked at the five-sixteenths, made a bid into the stretch, drifted out under a left-handed crop at the three-sixteenths, drifted in after being switched to a right-handed crop coming to the furlong marker and weakened. LEMON KICK bumped with a rival at the start, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled off the pace ,went three wide on the far turn, was roused at the five-sixteenths then driven five wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response.
