Chart notes
MR. BUFF hustled from the gate, established the front and showed the way in hand just off the inside, tucked inside through the turn coming under intensified pressure from MUSICAL HEART to the outside and widening away as a pair from the rest of the field, took the inside route into upper stretch, dug in fending off MUSICAL HEART and coming under growing late threat from the runner up and gamely held safe to prevail on the wire. LIMONITE five paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked to the two path through the turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, spun just off the inside for home, tipped out nearing the eighth pole and closed well through to the finish to threaten for it all late but was ultimately staved off to the finish. MUSICAL HEART bumped at the start by TINTORETTO, who broke out a step, raced briefly in behind MR. BUFF before tipping out three wide running in closest aim of that leader, tucked to the two path advancing to press that rival through the turn coming under coaxing midway, swung two to three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive running on to steadily close in through to the finish while well clear of the rest for the show honors. TINTORETTO (GER) broke out a step at the start bumping MUSICAL HEART, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked three wide through the turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung four to five wide into upper stretch and made no impact. ALWAYSMINING forwardly placed four wide down the backstretch, tucked three wide through the turn and was placed to urging three furlongs from home, swung four wide into upper stretch and tired.
