KITCHI prompted the pace along the inside into the far turn, responded readily when set down, drew on even terms for the lead at the quarter pole, battled the balance of the trip and wore down rivals in a game effort. SAINTS MARCHING IN gained a narrow lead two wide on the clubhouse turn, set a pressured pace into the stretch, dug in determinedly when joined by the winner and just missed hanging on. SKY WRITER stalked the pace into the far turn, loomed boldly three wide approaching the quarter pole, matched strides until deep stretch then was outfinished. MACHA'S REWARD went evenly. HIGH RISK STRATEGY failed to menace. DINESEN was no threat. ENJOY BASEBALL was outrun. ALFRED was no factor.
