SPANISH KINGDOM was rated on the inside, tipped off the rail late on the far turn, swung four wide into the stretch then jostled with a foe while making a bid between horses, took the lead into the final furlong, battled with the runner-up to the wire and gamely prevailed under strong urging. ON A SPREE went three wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, went four wide on the far turn, swung eight wide into upper stretch then was bumped while fanned out, rallied on the outside, closed fast to make a bid inside the furlong marker, battled with the winner to the wire and just missed while able to get the place. DUKE OF CARTHANIA bumped with a foe at the start, was taken in hand early, went four then three wide on the first turn, was rated off the pace, raced three wide on the far turn, came out into the stretch then bumped with a foe while fanned six wide, chased into the final furlong, moved in near the sixteenth-pole and finished with good courage to get the show. SHAKE SOME ACTION was taken in hand early, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, was roused with a clear opening at the quarter-pole, chased into the final furlong and finished willingly to just miss the show. BOTSWANA was hustled from the start, moved in while going to the front, set the pace while well rated inside to the two path, was asked outside the quarter-pole, floated three wide into the stretch, lost the lead under a drive into the final furlong and was out-kicked. VETTORI KIN (BRZ) bumped with an opponent at the start, was taken in hand early, went three wide on the first turn, was rated on the outside, came under urging in the four path on the far turn, bumped with foes on both sides while fanned out seven wide into upper stretch and lacked the needed kick. BLUE JAYS jostled with a foe early then was taken back, raced inside on the first turn, settled at the rear, was roused in the two path on the far turn, swung five wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. NATURAL POWER (IRE) smashed open the front of his stall door prior the start but remained in the gate, was hustled at the break then jostled with a foe early, was taken in hand then became rank into the first turn, rounded that bend in the two path, tracked the pace down the backstretch, made a bid in the three path on the far turn, was carried five wide into upper stretch then jostled with a foe and capitulated.
