Chart notes
CARMEL BAY dueled for the lead along the inside into the stretch, responded in the three path, shook clear past the furlong marker and won going away. HE'S A BELIEVER never far back, surged along the rail into the stretch and finished. SUSPIROS had speed from the start, drew on even terms for the lead between horses three wide in the turn, battled into the stretch then was outfinished. BLAME IT ON EDDIE failed to menace. SHAENA BUE vied for the lead four wide into the turn, loomed boldly then came up empty. SUNNY BEAST contended between horses early, was in tight nearing the turn causing his rider to steadied and dropped out of it. HAMPTON DREAMS matched strides for the lead three then two wide into the turn, checked past the five sixteenths pole when in tight and stopped.
