Chart notes
ORNERY ANGEL was urged to the lead along the rail racing through the backstretch, turned back challengers midway through the turn and edged clear under some right handed pressure. CAJUN DELIGHT, off slowly, then cut off at the start, switched out in the opening stages then was urged in pursuit of the leaders six wide on the backstretch, continued to advance four wide through the turn, shifted inwards in the drive but proved only second best. DON'T MAKE ME BEG, forced to steady avoiding tight quarters in early stages, angled to the rail, gained contention inside foes on the turn, shifted outside the pacesetter in upper stretch to bid bid between foes but was outkicked for second while prevailing for a share. SUGAR BRITCHES, urged between rivals pursuing the pacesetter just off the inside racing into the turn, shifted out three wide in upper stretch and faded late. ASTROMELIA, bumped at the start, veered out sharply, was taken up, while dropping out last, angled to the rail nearing the turn and continued with an effort to improve position. DRILL'S VALENTINE, urged three wide between foes pursuing the pacesetter into the turn, gave way after a half. LA WAPA bore out at the start bumping ASTROMELLA, was righted to gain a forward placing four wide, continued pressing the issue three wide between foes through the turn and gave way in upper stretch. R D BLESSING came around traffic at the start to track off the first flight five wide between foes, but faded early. LADY ALLYN, caught in close quarters leaving the gap, quickly dropped out.
