Chart notes
KING COOKIE vied for the early advantage, took command around the turn, dueled down the stretch with D'ROCK and drove clear before the wire. D'ROCK challenged for the early lead, saved ground around the turn, dueled down the stretch, was outfinished for the win, but proved best of others. SHANGHAI MIKE raced within striking distance, made a bid and followed the top two to the wire. CURTIN'S UP raced within contention, lacked a late kick and was outfinished for third. ETERNAL FORCE lacked early speed, came around the turn wide, showed late interest, but was no factor. FLASH ME BACK void of early speed and passed tired ones. BAPTISM pressed the early pace, saved ground around the turn and faded. ICE PEAK void of early speed and showed little. SMARTY GRIMES always raced near the back and was outrun.
