Chart notes
MATAPAN raced within contention, moved up around the final turn, rallied down the lane and proved the best late. MEMORY MAGIC had an awkward start, racing in the rear, rushed up, challenged for the lead, took command down the final stretch and was caught late. KODIAK SKY void of early speed, made a late gain and got up for third. MISS OCEAN EXPRESS dueled for the early lead, saved ground and weakened. KRIS T. raced evenly near the back, came around the second turn wide and was no threat. ASHLEY'S NEW SHOES raced within contention and retreated to the rear.
