Chart notes
GEARHEAD was rated off the second flight between foes racing to the backstretch, shifted out racing through the far turn to split foes three wide entering upper stretch challenging for command, drifted out markedly through the closing stages but went well clear under pressure. RUDIGER settled outside foes in the last flight racing to the backstretch, split foes three deep leaving the midway point of the far turn, swung out five wide entering upper stretch and continued with a steady late response to prove best of the others. TALE OF THE NILE was rated off the second flight along the inside, saved ground to upper stretch, then split rivals just off the inside in late stages to prevail for a share. PUDDING, forwardly placed between foes tracking just off the pacesetter to the backstretch, shifted out three wide on the far turn while advancing to challenge for command nearing upper stretch but couldn't sustain that bid past midstretch. WILLING TO SPEED, caught a bit wide tracking off the second flight racing to the backstretch, was prompted to advance four wide on the far turn to upper stretch but had no closing response. THE CURT FOX (GB) settled along the inside early, angled out five wide entering the stretch and gained some position while making no real impression. HERECOMESYOURMAN, pulling against restraint and held up between foes racing to the backstretch, lacked a closing response. TOSS, rank under restraint, then steadied along the inside racing to the first turn, switched out nearing the backstretch to race five wide through the backstretch and came up empty entering the far turn. BOURBON TAN switched out three deep racing to the first turn while prompted to a forward placing, was urged to terms with the pacesetter forcing the issue midway through the backstretch and gave way abruptly between foes entering the lane. NOTORIOUS NICK sprinted to the lead while angling to the inside leaving the chute, dueled for command inside foes through the backstretch into the far turn and gave way leaving midstretch.
