Chart notes
DAN THE MAN CAN closed to the front at the five sixteenths pole and contested the edge nearest the rail on the turn, raced clear into the stretch and was steadily encouraged. BENNY CHANG chased and raced a close factor three wide on the turn, then finished evenly to hold second. TRUFFLES AND GOLD was bumped lightly at the break and gave chase through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the four path then finished evenly while gaining on the runner-up. BLAME IT ON HONEY broke outward to make contact with Thisisthetimetowin then picked up the chase, raced at the rail on the turn and ran evenly down the lane. TWOBITSARIDE raced well back inside, rounded the turn off the rail, angled out into the lane and passed a rival. THISISTHETIMETOWIN was bumped outward and into Truffles And Gold, gave chase through the backstretch then weakened past the five sixteenths pole. SISTER ANNA was hustled along with the lead most of the opening quarter mile, gave chase from the five sixteenths pole but dropped back, contested at a close disadvantage on the turn then dropped back toward the head of the lane.
