Chart notes
GEHRIG was well placed on the inside, angled out three wide in the stretch, drew clear late, driving. SKY WRITER had good position on the inside, angled off the rail in mid stretch and was up for place. FOREST CHATTER was never far back, rallied on the turn with a strong move, remained clear in mid stretch and was faltered late. DOCTOR LEE was off slowly and improved late. ROYAL BLUE BOY had good position throughout and went evenly late. UYEDA dueled early on the outside and lugged in down the backside crowding, then weakened late. ATTUCK raced close up early on the rail, was in tight and steadied at the half mile pole, then was no menace. SI ES GOYA was no factor. OVERBEARING was outrun. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND THE RIDER OF ATTUCK CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF GEHRIG FOR INTERFERENCE DOWN THE BACKSIDE. AFTER VIEWING THE TAPE THE STEWARDS DISQUAILFIED UYEDA AND PLACED HIM SEVENTH FOR INTERFERENCE DOWN THE BACKSIDE.
