SURELY A SMILE brushed UNION SMARTIE leaving the gate, assumed a two wide trip in the early going while settling off of the pace, swung four wide for the drive and held off RAELEE in the late stages for the win. RAELEE was unhurried early, maintained a two wide through the backside and turn, swung five wide for the drive, made a late bid and pressured SURELY A SMILE in the final sixteenth. UNION SMARTIE was bumped slightly by SURELY A SMILE at the start, contested the early lead from a ground saving trip, advanced position along the turn but was not able to sustain that bid through the stretch. SOMARA settled off pace early, maintained a two wide trip through the turn while gaining position, but could not sustain that bid in the stretch. LUV IS ALL U NEED contested the early lead with UNION SMARTIE while sitting in the two path around the turn, was asked for run into the stretch and tired.
