Chart notes
MISS ARROWHEAD was outsprinted to the turn, bid three wide then swung out four wide for room into the stretch, closed steadily and tagged CHIEFTESS AINE on the line. CHIEFTESS AINE The latter set the pace, was under pressure from MARZANNA mid turn, turned that one away and pushed clear to mid stretch then dug in determinedly but was nailed on the wire. MARZANNA pressed the leader early, made a run two wide to engage for the lead but was outkicked in upper stretch and finished evenly. WATCHFUL EYE chased the pace three wide to the stretch, got outrun to mid stretch and did not rally. FICTIONAL stalked the leaders two wide to the stretch but weakened in the drive. BROADWAY BABE broke a bit slow, had no speed and saved ground to no avail. ZEPHYR CAT broke slow and was always outrun.
