Chart notes
CHESAPEAKE CHARLIE settled off the earlier pace off the rail, started a bid approaching the three eighths pole, came through the far turn about the three path and dug in from the head of the lane to take the nod through the final yards. WINNING SCHOLAR rated just off the pace about the three path then rallied to the lead at the five sixteenths pole, drew clear toward the quarter, dug in under steady encouragement through the lane but was outfinished the final yards. RIGHTEOUS MAN raced well off the earlier pace in the two and three paths, started a bid toward the five sixteenths pole, angled four wide on the far turn and finished well outside. MELDON rated a clear lead inside, came under pressure nearing the three eighths pole and was caught at the five sixteenths, then faded readily at the rail.
