TRACK SMART vied for the early lead, saved ground, dueled down the stretch and prevailed for the win. GIRL IN BLACK challenged for the early lead, dueled throughout, was outfinished for the win, but held on for place. ALHAMBRA PALACE raced near the back in the beginning, came around the turn four wide, made a late gain and finished willingly. PAISLEY CROSS raced within contention, saved ground around the turn, was outfinished, while putting forth a game effort. SOPHIE'S PRAYER pressed the early pace, came around the turn three wide, weakened and lacked a finish. MEAN AMERICAN void of early speed, raced wide around the turn and showed little.
