Chart notes
SPURN pressured the pace through the backstretch and took the nod two deep midway on the turn, dueled clear of the runner-up mid-stretch and further increased his lead later yards. MISSIONSNINETYNINE was hustled along to set a pressured pace, gave up the nod at the rail midway on the turn, dropped back mid-stretch then flattened late yards. DERBY DAY DREAMS gave chase and rounded the turn about the three path, then finished well while gaining on the runner-up. SHOWTIME CAT gave chase, rounded the turn about the four path and finished well. NO CHANGE chased through the backstretch, raced in the four path of the turn and finished evenly. RUSTY THE UPS MAN gave chase toward the outside, raced in the five path of the turn and showed little more. BEAR'S ESTATE gave chase and rounded the turn off the rail, then weakened into the lane.
