Chart notes
READY FOR A FIGHT was away alertly, set the early pace from a two wide running position, saved ground off of the turn, was pressured late by SUNSET DRAGUNN but held on for the win. SUNSET DRAGUNN saved ground early while sitting just off of the pace, swung three wide off of the turn and made a late bid in the stretch but could not get to the leader. EL CHAVO DEL OCHO was unhurried early, settled at the rear of the field while saving ground, angled out for the stretch drive and made a steady run in the stretch, though was not challenging the top two. DARNQUICK pressed the early fractions from a ground saving trip, lost position coming into the stretch, and weakened in the drive. JEFFNJOHN'STHUNDR was unhurried early, three wide along the turn, and was not a factor late. SLAM DUNK SERMON settled midpack early, saved ground in the two path into the turn, swung four wide for the stretch drive but made no late bid.
