Chart notes
MARILYN'S SMILE was unhurried early, saved ground the turn while settling at the back of the field, shifted out at the eighth pole, made a surge on the leaders and won going away. MISCHIFFIE (IRE) was close early, settled just off of the early pace, two wide on the turn, asked for run in the stretch and was outkicked by the winner late. SPRING HEAT was hustled early to set fractions, continued to save ground through the turn, was weakening in the drive but held on for third. GOING TO SHABOOMS was close to the early pace, two wide between horses on the turn, advanced position at the head of the stretch to vie for the lead but tired in the final stages. SING IN THE WIND sat just off of the early leaders, saved ground through the turn, angled out for the stretch drive, but could not find a late rally. MIDNIGHT SUNRISE was close to the early pace, lost position on the turn while three wide, fanned four wide into the stretch and tired late. HEY WILMAAA settled toward the rear of the field early, saved ground toward the back of the back through the turn and had no late response.
