ROCKET ROAD raced in the four path the first turn, bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole and took the lead two deep approaching the quarter, drew clear midway on the far turn, was steadily handled to late stretch then taken in hand late. GOODBYESEEULATER rounded the opening turn about the five path, bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole and raced at a close disadvantage in the three path of the far turn, then couldn't improve down the lane. EQUUS NOVUS came through the opening turn about the three path, bid leaving the three eighths pole and raced in the three and four paths of the far turn, then passed a rival in the lane. THE FORTY FACTOR was hustled to a clear lead and angled to the inside to set the pace, came under pressure nearing the five sixteenths pole, but gave up the lead at the rail nearing the quarter and weakened toward the top of the stretch. OWL RUN saved ground through the opening turn then faded through the backstretch.
