Chart notes
SOLDIER BOY closest to the leader off the inside, chased that one through the turn, collared that same rival into the stretch, challenged from the outside when straightened for home, clear past the furlong marker, enough left to hold off the runner up late. CHICKEN TRUCK in the second flight while outside, four wide into the turn, three wide exiting the bend, set down, rallied to be getting to the winner late. EAST MOON LAKE lacked early foot inside, worked way out to be three wide into the lane, rallied for the show to finish up willingly while also closing the gap on the top two. HOOKED A GOODWIN moved up to take control soon after the start, clear into the turn, briefly raced on equal terms with the winner when that one challenged turning for home then faltered when headed by that foe into the stretch. WINGS UP fell back to trail after the break, continued to lag turn, two path into the lane, passed tiring rivals while not a serious threat. BOO REID in the second flight while outside, three wide through the turn, weakened through the stretch. GOTTA LOVE IKE remained always back while racing three wide. RUN AWAY SON forwardly placed in the early going after moving to the inside, continued to save ground into the turn then began to fade before three furlongs.
