Chart notes
FANCY EMPRESS set the pace inside while taking pressure from FADED ROSE through the first turn, established a clear lead for the backstretch run, remained on a clear lead while saving ground through the far turn, shook her pursuers off midstretch and drew off under a drive. MISS HATTIE settled at the inside of the rear pair, took closer order in tandem with RONAN down the backstretch, bid inside of FADED ROSE into the turn, chased just behind FANCY EMPRESS while hugging the rail through the far turn, chased just behind that foe inside while proving no match from midstretch, and proved second best under a drive. RONAN settled two wide in the rear flight, inched closer to the leading pair outside of RONAN down the backstretch, raced three wide into the far turn, stalked two wide past the seven sixteenths, turned three wide into the lane, was driven for more but could not reel in FANCY EMPRESS, and flattened out late. FADED ROSE pressed the pace outside of FANCY EMPRESS through the first turn, stalked her down the backstretch, raced into the far turn between horses as foes began to rally on each side of her, started to weaken from the seven sixteenths, faded in the two path around the bend, had no response in upper stretch, and was allowed to trail in after failing to respond.
