Chart notes
BUNKIE'S SONG vied for the early lead, saved ground around the turn, pulled away down the stretch and won under urging. SUGARLAND EXPRESS challenged for the early lead, forwardly placed throughout, but proved no match for the winner. FLASHBURN raced within striking distance, moved up and finished evenly behind the top two. I'M ALWAYS LATE erratic at the start, pressed the pace and lacked a bid. LEYTON'S HIPPIE raced within contention, weakened and was no threat late. DEFATTA void of early speed and was never close. CAPTAIN NOBLE always raced near the back and showed little.
