Chart notes
CLIPPER COVE dueled for the early lead while inside, was well handled then drew away in upper stretch and was clearly best in the end. TRINITY QUEEN was allowed to settled then rallied two wide in the stretch and was second best in the end. VIRGINIA STRONG was unhurried early then rallied on the turn, was five wide for the stretch drive and closed ground willingly in the end. GRASS SNAKE was allowed to settled then raced four wide on the turn but was no threat in the stretch. CASTING PEARLS raced three wide into the turn and gave way. MAKATEA dueled for the lead while two wide, was hard used then gave way. WITT'S GIRL raced on the inside on the turn then faltered. SHERRYS BABY was unhurried early and no threat. SHE'S A RIDGE was outrun.
